We haven't seen as much snow as we would like, but that's not stopping us from getting out on occasion. Emily doesn't seem to like being out in the cold for too long. Her hands and feet get cold very quickly and she doesn't move around much in order to keep warm. Perhaps it's just as well that the winter hasn't been great.
This weekend is groundhog fest in the village. We went to a pancake breakfast this morning. After the breakfast we drove by the pond to see if the ice was in good enough condition for the pond hockey tournament today. Much to our surprise the tournament had already begun. I'm trying to persuade Liam to go watch but for now he's content to stay home. Perhaps later this afternoon. Liam is really looking forward to the toilet bowl races on the pond tomorrow.
In less than a week's time we head to Ottawa for a few days to partake in Winterlude. I'm looking forward to starting my seven month leave with the family.
