Wrapping Up the Holidays

It's been a lot of fun being at home with the family over the holidays. Spending so much time with the kids as well as family and friends has been great. It won't be long until we're back into a regular hectic routine.

Emily is trying very hard to talk. She knows a few sounds and is very emphatic about using them when she wants something. She even seems to be able to string a number of sounds together to represent two words. She understands what we're saying most of the time. It's funny watching how she reacts when we give her an instruction and she executes it. You can almost see the wheels spinning in her head. Physically she's capable of doing much more. She's been able to climb the stairs for a while and is now figuring out how to go down. Hopefully it won't be a painful process. She has also been working on her yoga as you can tell by her mastery of the downward dog position.
