We took advantage of the beautiful weather last week to do some camping. It's great not having a schedule to worry about. We saw the forecast on Monday and decided to go. Tuesday we solidified that we were going on Thursday and that the location was Sandbanks. Need a reservation? Not mid-week in May. We showed up and got the site we wanted. The beach was across the road, the boat launch was across the road in the other direction. There were probably a total of about eight other people in the park. Unbelievable! I can't wait to be retired.
We all hard a blast. Liam loved playing in the sand, both on our site and at the beach. We walked along the beach, walked in the water, flew a kite (at least tried to), did some canoeing. Against my better judgment we even roasted hot dogs on the fire and had smores. Luckily Liam wasn't really a huge fan either.
I'll likely post more photos from our trip but here are a couple to start with.
