Yesterday we went to the Early Years Centre to give Liam a chance to run around and play with other kids. Having never been to the play times before I was a little overwhelmed. They had a small gym where a bunch of two to four year olds seemed to have created their own race track for tricycles and other baby powered vehicles. Somehow everyone was travelling in the same direction and there was no chaos and no accidents. The second room that we went into was the playroom. There was no shortage of chaos here. There were probably 15 kids (along with a pile of parents) all doing something different. I was a little stressed about the chaos at first but after a short time was able to appreciate the noise and activity.
While at the Early Years Centre we met a woman who had seven kids. I think she's hoping to have her kids star in the next live action Snow White movie. In addition to having seven kids her husband is a truck driver and is away from Monday to Friday. Suddenly any little problems we have at home dealing with two kids somehow just got a lot easier.
Somehow Emily managed to sleep through all of the noise and activity today.
