Day 1

Just so that I don't get your hopes up, I need to warn you that I am terrible at committing to things. I'm hoping that I can use this blog to take a photo of our newborn son everyday for a year. I'm hoping that I can stick to it. I'm not very good at routines and tend to go about my life however I choose. I guess this blog is a bit symbolic, since that lifestyle is about to change (in fact it already has). With a new baby I have committed, at least in some way, the next 18 years of my life (and hopefully longer). Having said that I'm hoping that I can commit one year towards taking at least one picture per day of Liam.

Why might you ask would someone do this? There are a few reasons. First, Liam was born almost two weeks ago and already there have been a lot of changes. I thought it would be good to document some of these changes. The second reason for the blog is to satisfy the demand we seem to be getting for pictures of Liam without overwhelming or boring friends and family who don't really want to have their email accounts filled with our pictures. I figure by doing things this way you can check in as often as you like. The final reason for the blog is to improve my photographic skills. I'm hoping to get some feedback on the quality of the shots I've taken and possible improvement.

Without any further rambling...Here's the first entry.

What Dave is really trying to spit out is that he wants to show his love for Liam and wants to share that love with his friends and family.Pictures of Liam in my email mailbox are a number one priority to open, so as they say,"Fill my boots"! Speaking of filling, I will be very interested in learning about Dad's diaper-changing feats. Now there is a "change" that you will be committed to for the next year. To improve your photographic skills I suggest you take some shots of those endeavours.I hope we get to view a few poopy diapers.

We will be here to remind you about the daily picture.

Dunc...Be careful of what you ask for. I definitely see some diaper changing pictures in the future.
