We had a busy week last we and I'm pretty sure that just about ever day I said to myself that I would post some pictures. In any case here's a summary (as best I can remember).
Monday: We decided over the weekend that we would go to the beach Monday. When we woke up Monday the weather didn't look great and forecast wasn't much better. We decided to chance it anyway. We packed up the van and headed for North Beach. It's one of the closest beaches to use and yet we had never been there. As we made our way south, the sky darkened and it was raining fairly heavily by the time we got to Trenton. Despite the poor weather we kept on. A little south of Trenton the rain had stopped. It even looked as though it hadn't rained in some places. When we got to the beach it was overcast but quite comfortable. We were not surprised to see that we were the only ones at the beach. We had an entire 3km of sand and water to ourselves.
Tuesday: Liam's class had a field trip to Presqu'ile Provincial Park. I went along as a parent volunteer. Liam and two other boys were in my group. The three of them were very rambunctious and we were "that group". The boys (including Liam) were running down the boardwalk pulling plants out and not paying any attention to what they were supposed to. We even lost one of our members over the side and into the drink. I may have to rethink this volunteering thing. It certainly takes a special type of person to be a kindergarten teacher. I don't know how they do it but I am extremely grateful for all of the work that they do.
Thursday: Clara and I stayed home in the morning while everyone else was at school.
Friday: The students of the three schools all came together for some fun drumming.
Here's the bird's eye view.

Dave, thanks for giving me a good laugh this morning! Your description of the field trip will keep me smiling through my day with all my hot and sweaty little Kindergarteners!
Cathy
Good luck with the last few days and thanks for all you do.
