I feel as though most often I take pictures of Clara when she is sleeping. I reasoned that it make sense because she spends most of her day asleep. Last night I decided to look through the blog archive to see if most of Liam and Emily's pictures at this age were with their eyes closed. Sure enough that's not the case (as a side note it was a lot of fun looking through the old pictures). So here's my hypothesis on why Clara is sleeping in the majority of her pictures and the other kids were not. When Liam was born he was the only child. We had all the time in the world to stare at him, take hundreds if not thousands of photos and choose the most interesting ones to post. So what about Emily? I didn't post nearly as many pictures of Emily and I may very well have chosen to only post pictures that were interesting. With Clara I'm trying to take more pictures but I also have two active kids who are seeking attention. Remember, Sarah and I are outnumbered now.
In any case here's a more interesting picture of Clara. Clara, Emily and I (and I guess the cat) were reading a story this afternoon.
This evening,
our dog the neighbour's (who seems to spend more time with us than with them) was barking on the lawn. I went out to see what it was barking at and found a Blanding's turtle. We moved the turtle of the lawn and placed it next to the swamp. I hope it wasn't trying to lay it's eggs somewhere.
