I had to run some errands in Peterborough today. Instead of coming straight home I decided to take a detour to the Kawartha Nordic Ski Club.
What a fantastic outing. The conditions were incredible. I spoke with a guy in the parking lot who was leaving as I was arriving. He said that the conditions were as good as they had been all winter. He was right the conditions were fantastic. I couldn't get over the number of people who were out. I saw kids who were five all the way up to adults in their seventies. There were lots of families out together. I even saw three generations of one family out together. What a great sport to do as a family.
Next winter we will go as a family. We can all ski a bit and when the kids get tired they can hang out in the chalet. I saw the picture below in the chalet and it made me laugh. Hopefully our kids will be as pumped as this baby is.
