A Close Encounter With Santa

We took Liam and Emily to see the Christmas lights in Trenton tonight. They have a very nice display that we drove by a few nights ago. We didn't stop because it was getting late and we were hungry. Liam was excited that we were going to walk around tonight. When we arrived Santa was in the park. Once we informed Liam that Santa was in the park he became very tentative. We steered clear until the end of our trip. Sarah and I tried to convince Liam to go say hi or to wave to Santa. We were able to get within about 25 feet before Liam was feeling uncomfortable. Don't get me wrong...he was very interested but also very tentative. I think he wanted to figure out who this guy that was coming to our house later this week was. Liam's solution was to drive by Santa and to wave from the van. That did the trick. He was excited that he got the chance to wave.
