More Skiing

We've had an outstanding start to the new year. We've been out skiing a ton. This past week we were out Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It's been a blast. We have been going to the Keating-Hoards Conservation Area (about 10 minutes SW of here). It's a small quiet spot with a drumlin in the middle. It's been a great place for skiing. The only trouble is that it's fairly open and at times it seems as though you're skiing through a field. Today we tried out the Sidney Conservation Area (about 15 minutes East of here). It's another small conservation area, but it's very well treed. The parking lot was unplowed and the snowbank on the side of the road was about 4 feet high. A couple of the locals have walked part of the trail, but other than that the area was full of fresh snow. We broke our own trail through the fairly deep snow. We decided that we would go back tomorrow with our snow shoes to work in the trail a bit so that we could have a great ski trail. How does Liam feel about all of this skiing? He loves it!! I think he'd be happy to be out there all day if he could.

Here's a picture of Liam with a bit of salad. Sarah says that he takes after me given that he likes salad so much. I should clarify that he doesn't particularly like eating the salad. He seems to enjoy stirring it and digging out the odd vegetable.
