Camping

We took Liam camping this weekend. We didn't have the best weather, but we managed to sneak in some fun in between the showers. I was very happy that we were able to get setup, eat and get to bed Friday before it rained. The rain began sometime during the night and we had lots of rain. So much in fact that there was a puddle inside the tent at our feet. Our sleeping bags promptly wicked the water from our feet to the rest of our bodies (in actual fact it was only to our knees). Lucky for us it was very warm. In the morning the rain had stopped. We had breakfast and made a quick trip to the laundromat to dry out the sleeping bags. It rained on and off Saturday. We managed to go for a walk let Liam play in the water and a number of other things. Saturday evening, things cleared up nicely. Sunday morning we went to the beach. It was a bit cool at the campsite, but the sun at the beach warmed us right up. I couldn't believe that we were the only ones on the beach. We played there for about an hour, then Liam started to get tired. We came back to the campsite, had lunch, packed up and watched the dark clouds roll in. It began raining on the drive home. All in all a good weekend.
